* Small in stature but overflowing with magic, Fairies are the masters of flight and illusion.

Physical Traits

Fairies are the smallest of the sapient races, rarely standing taller than two feet. Despite their size, they are impossible to miss due to the soft, rhythmic glow they emit—a bioluminescence tied to their emotions. They possess gossamer wings resembling those of dragonflies or moths, allowing for hovering and rapid aerial maneuvers.

Their features are delicate and sharp, often described as "doll-like" by humans, though their eyes hold an alien depth, often swirling with colors not found in nature. They leave a faint trail of glittering dust when they move quickly, a byproduct of the magic that sustains their flight.

Social Interactions

Fairy society is split between the Seelie (Summer) and Unseelie (Winter) Courts, though these allegiances shift like the wind. To a Fairy, boredom is death. They are driven by curiosity, playfulness, and a love for "glamour"—the art of weaving magic into everyday life.

Interacting with a Fairy is like trying to catch smoke. They speak quickly, change subjects instantly, and often view the serious concerns of larger races as amusing games. However, they are fiercely protective of their friends. A Fairy's loyalty is rare, but once given, they become devoted guides and guardians.

World View

"Why walk when you can fly? Why be gray when you can shine?"

To a Fairy, the world is a canvas, and they are the brush. They do not believe in the permanence of things; they believe in the beauty of the moment. They are drawn to places where the barrier between the material plane and the magical realms is thin.

They view rules and laws as suggestions rather than absolutes. A Fairy adventurer is often motivated not by gold or glory, but by the promise of seeing something new, tasting a new fruit, or playing a trick on a particularly grumpy dragon.
